I like it so far.
I switched one of my job boards over to it from Jobamatic. I opted for the $99 buck a month plan and Indeed backfill is paying way more on the same traffic than what jobamatic was paying.

A friend of mine is selling ITjobs247.com. Its an IT job board that was launched around July 2012. It has paying clients although the owner hasn't done much lately to promote it.
Its a nice looking site that features Indeed backfill. Traffic is minimal (maybe 500 uniques per month) but its fully functioning and ready to roll for a new owner. There is a…Continue

I've almost recovered from the IAEWS fall congress - but in about 4 weeks I will be attending the JobG8 Europe Job Board Summit in London (Dec. 4-5). Actually, 'attending' isn't quite right - I will be presenting some very interesting…Continue
I'm looking for information and points of view on aggregation sites for a report I'm putting together.
I'm a journalist with ERE Media and editor of The Fordyce Letter (and I manage this site). If you run a job board or career site, and have worked with one or more of the aggregators in the past year, I'd like to speak with you.
Email me directly at John@ere.net. Thanks.
Most of our customers use bundled upsell packages with great results rather than selling each individual upsell - this makes it a lot easier when you have about 10 to choose from!
In our experience, one of the most effectice ways to bundle the upsells are in these three packages:

Remember 1999? For those of us in online recruiting, it was the year ran an ad during the Superbowl. Overnight the job board went from sort-of well-known to very well known. Part of it was a memorable…Continue

Sometimes, a format change is a good thing. At least that’s my opinion after having spent the last couple of days at the IAEWS 2013 Fall Congress.
Although the IAEWS conference has always been a good source of information and networking, in past years it had also begun to feel a bit ‘overstructured’. Single day conferences are tough – organizers are trying to pack…Continue

There is a major shift happening in the advertising world – and despite the omnipresence of the devices fueling this shift, many companies are missing out.
I’m talking about mobile advertising. In the past five years, mobile devices – including cell phones and tablets – have become the primary way that people around the world access the internet, communicate with each other, and purchase…Continue

If you look at any survey of employers that I've done over the past several years, you'll find that the number one issue for employers is quality of candidates. Now, 'quality' is one of those wonderfully fuzzy terms that can mean just about anything to anyone, but in general, when employers talk about quality candidates, they're talking about candidates that meet…Continue

Seventy-two billion dollars. That’s what corporations spend to find, hire and manage talent. That’s a lot of money. And there’s literally tens of thousands of job boards, ATSs, CRMs and RPOs out there that are clamoring for a piece of the pie.
LinkedIn has risen as a major player. but, the game is far from over. Facebook is quietly…Continue

Many years ago, I embarked on my first sales job. I wasn't even wet behind the ear - I was clueless. But...I knew how to read, and I knew that I didn't know anything about sales. So I picked up a half-dozen books on the subject and set to educating myself.
One thing the writers seemed to agree on was the concept of qualifying the customer - determining what their needs were, and if your company could meet them. For a…Continue
