The latest job board industry news - lotsa buying going on!

Creating a Job Board a few tips for beginners.

What I have learned in the past couple of years and most recently in running my own job boards and helping others get their boards up and running has been most valuable learning experience. I wanted to share with you things I've learned to do and what not to do when it comes to starting or upgrading your job board.

A Multitude of Hope

For those looking for something other than your traditional job search or career book, take a look at my new novel called A Multitude of Hope.

The book tells a tale ripped right from today’s headlines.  It involves three out-of-work Baby Boomers and a shadowy online group of workplace activists practicing “economic disobedience” against the vulture capitalists of American business.

There are underground databases, corporate moles, coded messages and anonymous threats, as well…

HireHealth.net – WARNING: a Parasitic Job Board

Every so often, along comes a bad actor to the job board industry. HireHealth.net created a new parasitic scam. The president, Jay Tokarz signed a contract on behalf of Hirehealth.net to cross post HireHealth.net's jobs on TopUSAJobs.com for an agreed cost-per-click price.

Between December and February 2012, Hirehealth.net accrued expenses of $45,000 and then refused to pay, and became unreachable by phone or Email. In February, we discovered that many, if not all…

IAEWS 2012 Benchmarking Survey

The 2011 IAEWS Benchmarking Survey was a huge success, but don’t take my word for it.  Visit the IAEWS home page (www.EmploymentWebSites.org) and take a look at the video that’s posted there.  You’ll hear from the survey co-chair, Matt Hoffner of Jobg8.com, and from two IAEWS Members who participated in both the survey and the discussion forum on its results.  Steven Rothberg of CollegeRecruiter.com and Andy Hibel of HigherEdJobs.com provide…

SimplyHired Layoffs - COO, VP of Sales and most of sales team axed!

I'm not surprised about the reorganization.

I'm just surprised that I just heard about it, 6 weeks later. Nothing in ERE or jobboarders about it.

Here's my blogpost about the layoffs:…
