I wanted to introduce the job board 5milliongreenjobs.org . Our mission is to actually create 5 million Green Jobs, and we intend to do so by allowing unlimited job postings.
Energized by green solutions proposed by candidates during the 2008 presidential campaign, 5MillionGreenJobs.org (5MGJ) is the response inspired by the promise that “ordinary people can do extraordinary things”. 5MGJ is the liaison between green sector companies and the diverse population… Continue

Just wanted to take quick second to introduce myself as well as our job board for Seattle Technology Jobs, Eggsprout.com. We've been live for a little over a month and working on some really interesting (at least I think so) stuff in this space.
We believe that information is necessary for job seekers to make sound decisions about their career and it should be readily accessible to everyone.
I recently stumbled upon this site and have… Continue
We are all hearing a lot about the future of the green collar industry and the increase in green jobs here in the United States. Almost a full 10% of the stimuls package is targeted towards "green initiatives" with the bulk of the money going towards updating the electric grid. This creates a huge opportunity for the American workers and a huge opportunity for recruiting professional. Many "green companies" have already started to add to their recruiting ranks and many "green recruiting firms"… Continue
Just a quick note to say that my earlier post on Jobs in the US was somewhat incorrect. They are not currently for sale due to the bankruptcy file by their parent owner. They did retain a broker before that news to investigate a sale but put it on hold for the moment. I received this email from their general manager Sam Eddy;
"I wanted to clarify two points you made in your posting. First - JobsintheUS is not presently for sale. I don’t know what your source is for this…Continue

I recently posted a blog regarding a very successful job hunting campaign by Tourism Queensland for "The best job in the world" (www.islandreefjob.com). This campaign went viral, no job (other then Obama's) has created so much press. The result has been 20,000 video applications since the start of the campaign, from all around the world.
I was recently told that the only reason that the video application is so high, is because this is what the client asked for...... A rather naive… Continue

I got a heads up about a new free ad serving platform called OpenX. It has a hosted and download version. Serving ads on your site should be an additional way to earn revenue so check out this video on how to use OpenX.
Does anybody have any experience with job boards run by non-profits? I'm speaking with a group about setting up something to promote their region and fight 'brain drain' - I'd love to know what others are doing.
There's so much wisdom on this board, I wanted to to ask a question.
I just a launched a job board for green and renewbale energy postions. I'm utilizing my web 2.0 skills to promote the site, but I was wondering what is the best way to convince companies (big and small) as well as recruiters to post jobs on my site Hirejam.com.
While browsing the ‘news web’ this morning I pick up an interesting article entitled “Beware job board CV advice”. The headline immediately caught my eye and the content certainly raised a few questions.
Written by Nick Gendler, a career coach at Workjoy.co.uk, the piece discusses the author’s experience (via a colleague) with a CV review/writing service, offered by [continue…Continue
