A Change at the Top

I started this community on a whim in the summer of 2007. Today it has grown into a nice-sized group which offers a lot of value to those in the job board industry. In that time, I have met many Job Boarders in person and its been a great thrill to build my network and meet the people with whom I have so much in common.

Effective today I am announcing that I have sold the site to my friend and colleague Jason. I have known "JD" for several years now and have come to admire his entrepreneurship and community building skills. He is a 'Job Boarder' as well as having roots in many online recruiting properties. Many people know him for RecruitingBlogs.com but he has also run job boards over the years and his newest project is a twitter based site called Hashjobs.

I watched Jason take RecruitingBlogs from a thousand members to 20,000, so when it comes to building online communities, he's the man at taking them to the next level. So i approached Jason a few weeks ago to see if he was interested and he jumped at the opportunity. He will also be bringing in ERE as a partner to help manage the site.

As for me I'll have one less site to worry about. I'm busy as ever with podcasting and job boards and.......well, there's too much to mention.

I wont be disappearing altogether. I still plan on being an active member of the community. You can still hire me for job board consulting and feel free to connect with me.

I'm very excited to see where he takes this group. If RecruitingBlogs is any example then JobBoarders will be a vibrant online resource for years to come.

So I want to thank all of you who have joined and made this community what it is today. Your participation has been tremendous and I greatly appreciate it.
