I don't know about all this. I agree and disagree. I think blogs are a good way to add a human touch to the whole experience. Then again, do people really need another blog to read? I think that if a blog is added that its content should be kept to an absolute minimum and the information communicated in the most straightforward way. That's my view on things. I think there are more efficient ways to add value to the job boards without diluting content with a blog.

Hi Eric,
Sorry, but there is not. I guess you could go to the location page of Jobing.com and people could pick from there or maybe just add Phoenix.Jobing.com.
To go back and answer your question, why should job boards blog, I feel they should blog for the simple fact of providing relevant content for the community in which that job board is serving.
Here is one example: we had a Career Expo coming up and one of our Community Relations Managers, Don Mock, contributed a blog about construction companies that were participating, http://phoenix.jobing.com/blog_post.asp?post=10374
Absolutely Health Care has created a professional social network for the health care field, including a blog at http://www.medicalmingle.com. Absolutely Health Care is the job board found on Medical Mingle, and Medical Mingle is advertised on Absolutely Health Care.
Ken, that's an impressive site and your traffic is growing nicely to it. How much time do you spend a week running it? do you have to spend a lot of time policing it for spam? do you promote it to recruiters?
